Cody Shugart Construction respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through shugart.construction, how we use it, and the limited circumstances in which service providers process it for us.
Information we collect
When you request an estimate, we may collect:
- Your name, phone number, and email address.
- The service you are interested in and project details you provide.
- Basic technical and security information needed to operate the website and prevent abuse, such as IP address, browser information, and Cloudflare Turnstile results.
We do not intentionally collect payment card information, government identifiers, or sensitive personal information through the estimate form.
How we use information
We use submitted information to:
- Review and respond to estimate requests.
- Contact you about the project you requested.
- Deliver internal notifications to authorized business personnel.
- Protect the website from spam, fraud, and misuse.
- Maintain and improve our website and customer service.
How information is shared
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share personal information, mobile opt-in information, or consent records with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Information may be processed by service providers that help us operate the website and deliver requested communications, including Sturm Technology as the website alert service operator, Cloudflare for hosting and security, SendGrid for email delivery, and Twilio for internal SMS notifications. These providers receive only the information needed to perform services on our behalf.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect legal rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer where permitted by law.
SMS information
The Sturm Technology Web Alert Messaging Service sends automated transactional alerts to verified users who monitor web-form activity for organizations they are authorized to manage. For this website, messages may identify Cody Shugart Construction as the monitored customer account. Sturm Technology is the sender and service operator. Website visitors are not enrolled in the SMS service by submitting an estimate request.
Authorized staff opt in through a written email request sent to main@sturm.technology. The recipient must provide their mobile number and send the following consent statement:
“I expressly consent to receive recurring automated Sturm Technology Web Alert messages at [mobile number] for customer accounts I am authorized to monitor, including Cody Shugart Construction. Message frequency varies based on web-form submissions. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.”
Before adding the number, Sturm Technology verifies the recipient’s identity, confirms with the applicable customer account administrator that the recipient is authorized to monitor that account, and retains the written consent record. No mobile number is enrolled without the recipient’s direct written request and customer authorization.
Message frequency varies based on the number of web-form submissions for authorized customer accounts. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is specific to the Sturm Technology Web Alert Messaging Service and is not a condition of purchasing construction services.
Mobile numbers, mobile opt-in information, and SMS consent records are not sold, rented, transferred, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. They may be processed only by service providers supporting program operation, such as Twilio, or disclosed when legally required.

Retention and security
We retain estimate information only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, provide services, maintain business records, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Written SMS consent records are retained while a recipient remains enrolled and as reasonably necessary afterward to document consent, opt-out requests, and compliance.
Your choices
You may ask us to update or delete information you submitted, subject to legal and business record requirements. Authorized SMS recipients may reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for assistance. After an opt-out, Twilio blocks further messages from the sending number. A recipient who opted out by mistake may text START, YES, or UNSTOP to that same number to renew consent and resume messages. Neither Sturm Technology nor Cody Shugart Construction can override an opt-out for the recipient.
Children's privacy
This website is intended for adults seeking construction services and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Policy changes
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the latest revision.
